Whether we are conducting classes in our studio, or guiding you in the corporate world, YourAshtanga is dedicated to making the most powerful tools of success accessible.
We offer consistent classes at consistent times, excluding holidays & special events, so you can make it a habit. We use knowledge and wisdom gained through over 10 years of experience and training. All mindfulness guides are certified through Yoga Alliance and selected based on our core principles of who we are: Honest, Healthy, Humble, Experienced
YourAshtanga strives for harmony and progress within each practice. Whether you are practicing a strenuous lesson, or relaxing, balance is key.
Breath-to-posture is incredibly significant for our minds and bodies. Thus, YourAshtanga will guide your breath through the entire session. In addition, we will make sure each student is practicing with proper alignment. We offer verbal and physical adjustments to each student as long as the student wishes. Often times, people who have practiced yoga for years execute postures incorrectly thus, deferring their progress and causing harm. YourAshtanga will guide you carefully and intelligently into proper postures.
YourAshtanga also strives to be a leading community member by choosing a different local nonprofit to support every 3 months. YourAshtanga does this not only by donating a portion of their sales to the chosen nonprofit but, they also advocate, become a donation center for the organization, and increase awareness/community involvement by hosting a Gala in support of the progress made/the nonprofit at the end of the 3 months.
Meet Ashley, our Founder.
She has been practicing yoga for over 10 years and has been formally trained through CorePower Yoga, Samadhi Center for Yoga, & Tattvaa Yogashala in Rishikesh India. In addition to yoga, she studies International Relations and Latin American Development through the University of Denver- She has published one article and is in the process of publishing her latest paper. She has a strong knowledge of Hatha yoga, various forms of meditation, yoga alignment, and Pranayama (breath practice). Her Hatha practice has an Ashtanga base but uses a variety of other techniques derived from Iyengar, Bikram, and Kundalini yoga. She teaches with the philosophy that, “We are all students and by working together we can achieve greatness.” Ashley believes that although she is a teacher, she is first a student, and through teaching she is constantly learning with her students.
Please, practice mindfully.
Your body will thank you.
